D.A.M. In an age where heavy music in general is becoming less and less interesting or diverse, Cavity still manages to be the best kept secret within its entire spectrum. Their new sound as Cavity A.D. while polarizing is absolutely
crushing if you approach it with an open mind. Swapping their signature beat down sludgey grooves for unhinged and monolithic soundscapes of absolute drudgery. PLEASE keep it coming, I love this. Favorite track: The Possessed.

Dr. Slotch Cavity has progressed and matured while still remaining true to their own sound. They seem less frantic, more thoughtful, but heavy (and angry?) as hell. For me, the standout track is Into Wolf, where one can hear the influence of Miami Bass shine with a slight industrial feel. While it is easy to focus on the great vocals from Cavity, the guitar work has a subtlety that is not often heard in this genre, giving the strong bass lines a counterpoint that helps develop an emotional response. Favorite track: Into Wolf.

about

Cavity After Death Miami, Florida

Cavity has been a runaway train of thundering punk, blues doom, and sludge heaviness since 1992. When their original run ended in 2001, fans were left wanting more. The new releases, as Cavity AD, boast a stripped-down sound that is both more experimental and more visceral while managing to cohesively communicate the band’s evolution. It is their inescapable urge and need to create. ... more
